So much to say,

    and so little time.

We had an empty mouth,

    the words trapped in our mind.

But you wore the face,

    the one where you smile.

Thoughts of you lighten our heart

    when we would rather cry.

We felt so tired . . .

But you brought us,

    around to feeling again.

We try to understand how,

    you got so close and changed our mind

We've seen the look in your eyes,

    opposite the words you say. . .

It's driven away the doubts in our self.

Simply, it's time

This love has welled up,

    and somehow thrived.

And if we're able to stay alive

We'll still choke on words,
