THE LETTING GO II

 

we are here to let you know
the letting go
is taking place.
we have felt the winterkill
and the thrill
of your face.
we just wanted so much more,
more then you would give.
but can we say goodbye
as the fire dies.
does the hurting show ?
the letting go.

piece by piece we take apart
our retarded heart,
and we hope to find.
something we can say was real
some kind of proof,
that the angel was ours
that's all we ever wanted you to be
the closer that we got
The less we were allowed to be
but when nothing changed
and our own skin felt strange
you choose "our" road

we just can’t take this anymore,
  watching reruns from before.
all her words, they make no sense
  all they do is contradict
the more we hear
  the less she say’s
    does it matter anyway ?

          Just how much can we take
          Everything she say’s to us
          Pushes one step closer to the end
          And we’re about to BREAK.

our future is no longer clear,
  now that our dreams have all disappeared.
all our thoughts, return to this
  what happened to simpleness.
but “the pain’
  never really ends
    over and over again.
