the southern wind just brings us pain.
we’re wishing we could have saved you.
find an ocean to sail away, and begin again.
we thought we could finally change.

that we could belong to you.
than we watch you slip away, in another's arms.

you we’re a tidal wave,

   from the very start.

a teacup storm,

   that swept right through our heart.

A reminder of things,

   we thought forever gone.

And now we see,

   it was the dark that killed the dawn.

If the moon could light the way.
that would bring you back to us.
the pain would wash away, and “we” could run.
the song remains insane.
as we sing our heart to you.
and we watch you slip away, in another's arms

            -  Alone  -

you can’t run away from this,

  and you cannot heal.
everything just falls apart,

    in this tragedy
you are so far away from hate,
   you just want her near.
her past plays apart,

   in your misery.

you feel this in your heart
you take it to your soul
you can try and pretend
but you don't want to be alone

you feel so torn apart,
  yet you cannot bleed.
caught in the play she wrote,
   wish it wasn’t real.

you were tryin’,
   and - you were flyin’.
but fate proved,
   you’d never be right.

was it the season,
   made you - lose your reason.
your head and your heart,
   lose the fight.

how many more times
will it take for you to see.
that you should simply live,
and your heart should be . . .

late at night,
   when you - fell the fright.
stay out of the games,
   your head plays.

stare in wonder,
    as your - heart goes under.
and remember nothing
   golden ever stays.

how much more pain,
until finally you just see.
that what you want and need,
