That night -

It was an accident that we

Were even there we’d almost begged off

You were there 

Breakfast –

We didn’t feel hungry and

The Belgian Waffles not our favorite place

But you were there

It’s Like Our Knees Went Weak And Dragonflies

Were Dancing, Taking All Our Air

From That Very Moment It Was All Too Clear 

Right there -

In the middle of a conversation

Wasn't anything special you said

We were in

 Right then -

We didn't even have time to think

We loved you, and all of a sudden

We were all in

It’s Like Our Knees Went Weak And Dragonflies

Were Dancing, Taking All Our Air

From That Very Moment It Was All Too Clear 

That day -

We planned where “we” were going

But not how the night would end

And when “we” barely followed our plan

We didn’t even care

That night -

We didn't know if something was brewing

With the prettiest woman on the mountain

And with more shopping and then Denny’s

We didn't know how much we’d care

From That Very Moment It Was All Too Clear

That touch -

When you reached out for our hand

We were overcome with feelings

We never thought to feel again

In a million years we didn't think that we'd be there

 That glance -

Your hard shell and hidden vulnerability

We were scared of you, and what we felt

As we were walking on the moon

And in a million years we never thought we'd be there
