We spent every holiday alone,
   'cos you always had someone else.
We offered you our family,
  'cos you had none of your own.
At your worst when -
   you lost to your internal terrorist.
At your best when -
   you could remembered "us".

We were there when -
   you made us forget all the others.
But then you pushed us -
   left us alone in a mental ravine.
You breathed life into us -
   when you crashed through our walls.
You breathed life into us -
   when you fulfilled our dreams.

But Now Where Is Our Head?
As It Fills Up With Ashes And Bones.
Why Do We Wish, Our House Was Your Home?
And Where Is Our Head?
What Happened To Our Heart?
Can We Save Us From Your Ghost?

Always over thinking,
   when and why you'd disappear.
You walked us on the the moon,
   yet somehow "we" missed the boat.
The hopes and the dreams -
   you made us wish impossible things.
The hopes and the dreams -
   shattered by demons and screams.

So these are the days that,
   we are split down the middle.
No words now can calm us,
   or keep us inside our skull.
And now we know -
   what comes of dreaming.
And now we know -
   that words can actually hurt.
