Can't Have Forever

 - CAN'T HAVE FOREVER -

we're not an ordinary man
 but we know we cannot have "forever"
  so we take it where we can
too many nights without a day
 for the sake of avoiding pain
  we have lost our way
we always thought that we could fly
 till we were shot down from the sky
  no matter what we try

so we believed her, all her lies
 but there was an end to dreaming
  'cos "the mourning" made it die

 and so we missed the things she said
