Writing On The Wall

The kiss off was colder than we remember
  when she first said hello
we guess her flame's now a little lower
  we can feel her letting go
and now the pain drops a little darker
  then when we first tried it on
  we guess love's like some old cheap magic marker
forever Now - is a no go
but she won't have to paint us a picture

when we first fell, we fell a long way
  playful nights and work days
awake at sunrise, waiting for sunset
  wanting to hold hands in the haze
now it's cold heart november evenings
  and there's clouds on our sunrise
but we just fake a smile and say we're happy
  we can see what's in her eyes
