So tired of waiting, of walking empty hand,
     we were looking for something to help us understand.
Why bad love kept turning our dreams into sand.

We didn't need pity, we had our share of friends,
     we wanted somebody more special than the rest.
We just ached inside like we were approaching the end.

Then there was this moment, the timing was so right,
     you appeared like an angel sent down to our life.
