- Trivial Sunrise -
we realize the sun will
rise in a few minutes.
it's been doing it, regularly,
without our help -
for as long as we can remember.
maybe we should build
the new golden path . . .
on important, somewhat simple
but often unnoticed certainties like that.
not on such relatively trivial matters . . .
as to whether she, or anyone,
will ever love us again
