If ever they had warned us
that we would be where we are now
we never would have believed
that we could feel so cold inside
all the colors that the world provides
are washed out to shades of grey
why is it that we feel nothing
for anyone at all

we've never been here before
we hate this
retreat to a place, a place within us
we need this
keep it all down, bottled up
we break this
so tormented, so tortured
we’re used to this

we try and try to break away
from all the hate we're feeling
for everyone of you
that turned and did us wrong
don’t need to justify
the reasons for why we’re leaving
or thinking that the ‘stan
will be safer then here.

our life is the 25th hour
that being said it feels like
everything is just a yesterday
the sharpest pain has subsided
yet our soul is still bleeding
we can't take away all the shame
we feel for our part in this mess
