   so wrapped up in "our" lives.
She swore the ties that bind,
   would never slip or fray.
So why was so much hidden,
   why did she tell so many lies.
We watched "us" unravel every day.

We think back to the times,
   when "we" thought and felt the same.
When "our" dreams were not different,
   and were under mutual construction.
She said she'd never let us down,
   and in the end we were alone.
A victim of her self destruction.

Anxiety, fear and addiction,
   drives her every move.
Not the girl we thought we knew,
   and how did she lose control.
She'll never be alone,
   she doesn't know how.
Needing someone else to complete her soul.

Does she feel us in her heart,
   did she ever feel at all?
Why can't we believe,
   she ever loved us for real?
Does she share in the agony,
   of how "our" lives collapsed
Does she feel like we feel?

the sun will will always rise -
dreams will always turn to sand -
desire will fade from white to grey -
hopes get crushed by grasping hands -
someday we WILL write her final rhyme -
and end a pain filled memory -
we never thought she'd let "us" fall this far. . .
