Have lost "the one",
Reclaimed our space . . .

This Isn't What We Wanted -
Not At All.
But With Freedom From "The Pain" -
We Can Now Say Goodbye.
Now That "Our" Passion's Died -
Still It Comes On So Slow . . .
The Letting Go.

Piece by piece we've taken apart -
Our destroyed heart,
To start again.

With each new day we hope to find -
A simple hint,
That what "we" had was even real.

All the things we thought we knew -
Now have no truth,
You never meant "mine" . . .

This Isn't What We Wanted -
Not At All.
The Harder That We Tried -
The Further Away You Seemed.
Now That Your Love's Changed -
And Our Own Skin Feels Strange.
