we first saw you, from across a crowded room. 

we thought no way, 'cos we'll be leaving soon. 

later that night, we found that all we could do.

was close our eyes, and dream we were alone with you. 

as days went by, we fell in love and felt insane. 

we dared to think, maybe you were feeling the same. 

and every night,  there was nothing we could do. 

but close our eyes, and dream that it was true. 

you finally showed us, just how much we're wrong. 

we tell our self,  just forget it and try to carry on. 

and though we try, there's nothing we can do 

but close our eyes, and dream that we're alone with you. 

we close our eyes.

and wish it could have worked with you.
