From Here Out
welcome to the inert
workings of our mind.
so dark so twisted
so much we despise.
on nights like these
we are so afraid.
of our heart of darkness
and what we thought.
you never saw
what "we" could be
Fate had a tantrum with our dreams.
Said to much on a page,
Too late it seems . . .
Read to much into what we see,
Now we want to hide.
Deep in in our only dream,
To our self we'd lied.
Twisted in our thoughts.
We have a hate for what,
Hope had wrought . . .
Wishes fade like flowers wilting,
Hide behind our wall.
Ghost's now scream from every angle
Dead dreams left waiting for fall.
and in our darkest hour,
when we can find no light.
welcome to the inert
workings of our mind.
so dark so twisted
so much we despise.
on nights like these
we are so afraid.
of our heart of darkness
and what we thought.
you never saw
what "we" could be
from here out . . .
keep our eyes open . . .
and our lips shut . . .
our heart closed . . .
and our dreams in . . .
