Bang, Bang - Bye, Bye

once we fell in love,
   like all the dreamers do.
finally in despair we,

   had to give up on “us”.
we never doubted it -
   like we did in school .
endless negativity,
   walls we just couldn’t get through.
and then she said so carefully,
   “you don't get a vote”.
“this is not a give and take”,
   “you are such a joke”.
 she said -
“as for you, and for I” -
“bang, bang”.
“bye, bye”.

now we have no dream,
   to lose our self inside.
we don't need to find a place,
   where we can go to hide.
we don’t crave it -
   like when we were a fool.
bled away the negativity,
   and slowly we got through.
now we say so carefully,
   no one gets a vote.
we won’t take that risk again,
    this is our own love note.
we said -
it's just a dream, so let it die -
bang, bang.
bye, bye.
