"We" carried all the colors,
    the beauty and eyes of beholders.
We never saw what was coming,
    or felt it weighing down our shoulders.

Time goes fast when you wander,
    nothing permanent lasts forever.
But we still feel the glory and power,
    of all the everything you and we had together.

Guess we are the lucky one,
'though it seems hard to believe.
Guess we are the lucky one,
'cause now it's too hard to see us.

If you told us you were again willing,
    to try the dream some call living.
We'd be looking for hidden edges,
    that got in the way of "us" forgiving.
