~ Enough ~

           ~ ENOUGH ~

We were there,
   we found out we could love.
"We" shared something,
   at the time you meant the world to us.

Your name was the one -
That was always on our mind.
Your words and their kindness -
Set us free.

Pain had a hold,
   that kept us frozen.
You opened our eyes to a world,
   that we could believe in.

Now words have left us -
Broken inside.
You made choices unilateral -
then spirited away.

We were there,
   we thought it was love.
We had something,
   worthy enough to share.

We're sure you meant the world to us -
When you got what you needed.
There was no way to know -
What you had was just hole to feed.

Was it a game you played,
   that has left us hoping.
The gift that we had - the life,
   now we just breathe.

The world can leave us -
Broken inside.
With nowhere to run to -
With nowhere to hide.

We were there,
   we had been chosen.
We had been blessed,
   you were our all of everything.

We are here. . .
We can love. . .
We have something worth sharing. . .
Sure there is someone. . .
That will be the world to us. . .

Someone who will say. . .
   . . "you are enough"
