Something has been crushed,

   down deep inside of us.

A secret place kept locked away,

   so no one could get near.

Wounded deep will never show,

   and yet never go away.

The moving targets in our head,

   all the mistakes played and replayed.

And We Haven't Felt This Alone -

Is Hanging In The Sky -

Mockingly -

Reminding Us Of All The Failed Tries -

Sometimes we can’t remember,

   The pain and darkness of our past.

Then come crashing in the memories,

   we wish we didn't have.

We often think of letting go,

   and never coming back.

We can never seem to move forward,

   but always repeat our past.

And We Haven't Felt This Alone -

Mr. Moon -

Is Hanging In The Sky -

Just waste away inside -

All of the helplessness aside -

Wishing we weren’t easily replaced -

It's never easy to win, it’s not hard to lose . . .
