She Found It Easier To Run -

Then Waiting For "Us" To Become More -

She Said She'd Rather Be Alone -

Than Risk Hurting Her Heart Just Like Before -

Some times we get a glimpse,

    of our golden path.

The dream of love and happiness, 

    that never ever lasts.

This scar runs deep but it'll never show, 

    and never go away.

Burned into the pictures in our head, 

    on pause and then replay.

- (erase her pain we would)

- (replace every mistake)

- (she thinks she's made we would)

She Found It Easier To Run -

Now we have to reconcile, 

    our present with "our" past.

Trapped here with her memories, 

    we wish we didn't have.

Hoping we can letting her go, 

    and simply walk away.

Finally looking forward, 

    and free our self at last.
